Back to class once again. The parts from spark fun is here (the replacement display and a temperature sensor). That means I will start disassembling Ticki, this time being extra careful with the wiring. Oh yeah, the RTC module is likely on its last leg battery wise. I was an idiot (still am probably) and stuck the RTC pins on a piece of conductive foam and shorted out the battery. No idea how to replace that battery yet so I will just ignore it for now. In other news, I took apart two old printers over the break and got some precision rods. I am thinking of something along the lines of a pcb router. The printers nowadays all use DC motors and optic strips so I will have to get some steppers or find some even older printers that use steppers (fingers crossed).
